Timber is imported random widths unless stated otherwise. Typically, majority of African timber boards will be between 150 – 220mm, with some wide boards potentially up to 500mm wide

African Iroko Kiln Dried
Thickneses available: 25.4mm, 31.8mm, 38.1mm, 50.8mm, 63.5mm, 76.2mm, 101.6mm
Density: 660 kg/m³
Extremely durable and hard wearing, this timber is used for gates and outdoor projects. Hard as nails to machine so can blunt cutters. Dust from Iroko can cause allergies.

African Sapele Kiln Dried
Thicknesses available: 25.4mm, 31.8mm, 38.1mm, 50.8mm, 63.5mm, 76.2mm, 101.6mm
Density: 640 kg/m³
Similar to a traditional mahoganay, can have a stripey, reflective pattern once machined. Works well externally, used for doors and windows. Can be more difficult to machine than Meranti.

African Utile Kiln Dried
Thicknesss available: 25.4mm, 38.1mm, 50.8mm, 63.5mm, 76.2mm, 101.6mm
Density: 660 kg/m³
Also known as Sipo, Utile can produce some lovely purple rays once machined. Works well externally, used for doors and furniture making.
